Nuri Kazım Şahin (born 5 September 1988 in
Lüdenscheid) is a
German-born Turkish footballer who plays as a
midfielder for
Borussia Dortmund.
Club career
Borussia Dortmund
On 6 August 2005, at the age of 16 years and 335 days, Şahin set a record by becoming the youngest player to have played in the
Bundesliga, and became the youngest player to score in the Bundesliga on 25 November 2005 scoring against
Nuremberg.

Feyenoord
On 5 July 2007, Şahin was transferred to
Feyenoord on a one-year loan agreement, where he was reunited with
Bert van Marwijk, his former coach at
Borussia Dortmund.

Return to Dortmund
Şahin returned to Dortmund where he played an important role in the
2009–10 season, starting 33 out of 34 matches. He ended the season with 4 goals and 8 assists.
International career
He won the bronze ball prize at the
2005 U-17 World Cup in Peru after a successful tournament finishing in fourth place, and is also the youngest player to have played and scored for the
Turkish national team, ironically scoring against
Germany, the country of his birth.
